The 2016 Landmark Conference Swimming & Diving Championships will take place Friday, February 12 through Sunday, February 14 at the Germantown Swim Center in Germantown, Md. This will be the ninth year of Landmark Swimming & Diving Championships,and the annual event is returning to the GISC for the second year in a row. The first four championships were hosted by the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy before moving to Marywood University from 2012-14.
The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy men's swimming & diving team has won all eight Landmark Championships, taking the 2015 crown with an impressive 973-point showing. While The University of Scranton won the first three women's titles, Susquehanna University has earned the last five, posting a score of 844 last February.
Doors to the Germantown Swim Center shall open one hour before the scheduled start of each session or as otherwise posted. Individuals may wait in the GISC lobby prior to doors opening. Morning preliminary heats shall commence at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Evening finals shall start at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, 5:30 on Saturday, and at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Fair and respectful conduct toward all participants and supporters is a tenet of Division III, one that the Landmark and its members strive to achieve at all times. Conference members believe that outstanding sportsmanship and civility are important expectations for all participants to experience at each athletic event, particularly at contests between conference members. Fans and participants are expected to represent their teams, institutions and the conference with behavior above reproach, and to observe the principles of good sportsmanship – civility, respect, honesty, dignity, courtesy, fairness, and integrity.
When attending the Landmark Swimming & Diving Championships, fans should keep the following principles in mind:
- Support the players, coaches, and officials; do not use personal comments or insults
- Please refrain from using profanity, vulgarity, racist or sexist comments during the game
- Be sure to treat fellow fans and event staff with respect
- Please do not consume or possess alcohol and tobacco products while at events
- Give players, coaches, and officials space to perform by staying clear of the competition area and team benches
Individuals that are unable to follow these guidelines, are disruptive or hostile to others, or appear to be intoxicated, will be removed from the event, and may face additional discipline.
A limit of eight All-Session passes may be purchased per person. All-Session wrist bands must be worn at all times. Replacement wrist bands shall not be issued. Wrist bands are to be worn only by the ticket bearer and cannot be transferred to other parties.
Patrons that are not in compliance with these policies shall be removed from the site of competition and denied readmittance.
No refunds shall be issued by the Landmark Conference or Germantown Indoor Swim Center.
