Marywood University will host the Landmark Conference Swimming & Diving Championships Friday, February 8 through Sunday, February 10 at the Marywood University Aquatics Center in Scranton, Pa. Marywood, an affiliate member of the Landmark Conference, will be hosting the conference meet for the second year in a row this winter.
On the men's side, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy has won all five conference championships since the Landmark began competition in 2007-08. Last year, USMMA piled up its largest point total in meet history with 828, but its 96-point margin over Scranton was the second-smallest for the Mariners.
Susquehanna University has won the last two women’s championships, while Scranton took home the first three conference titles. During last year’s event, the two teams were neck-and-neck throughout the weekend. It came down to the final event when Susquehanna secured the victory by nine points.
Doors to the Marywood University Aquatics Center shall open 90 minutes before the scheduled start of each session. Morning preliminary heats shall commence at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Evening finals shall start at 6:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.
